Younger mothers are at increased risk for depression, both when they are pregnant and after delivery, in the latter case the condition is called, “Postpartum Depression”, a study suggests.

The researchers caution that maternal mental illness, also affect their children who may develop emotional problems in the future.

There are fears the problem could be particularly acute in Britain, which has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in Western Europe, with a statistic of 40 per 1,000 girls under 18 who are conceiving.

Today depressive states are a common factor of modern life that a general affect all levels of health, leading to stress and then it will become the source of countless diseases.
