Issue of teen pregnancy:

The causes of teenage pregnancy are numerous, the main one is the maintenance of sexual intercourse without adequate contraception. Another of the reasons is that teens reach their reproductive stage, about four or five years before being emotionally mature.

For all this, the teenage pregnancy is high risk, it can cause complications such as growth retardation, preterm delivery, cesarean section, preeclampsia, and other conditions that are more common in this age group.

During adolescence take place a series of physiological and emotional changes that can compromise the mother and child. In people under 15 years, there is an increased risk of abortion, premature delivery, cesarean delivery due to physiological immaturity.

There are programs for adolescent pregnancy prevention, some point to abstinence, others to a knowledge of the teenager and his body’s normal functions, and report on contraceptive methods.
